What to wear for brand sessions is a very important detail when planning shoots, i’m using pretty please teether’s lifestyle dinnerware shoot for an example! Every brand is different, but dressing your models in neutral colors is usually the best way to go! It puts the focus on your product, which is the purpose in every commercial shoot! Pretty please Teethers even picked the outfits for the boys, which match the dinnerware perfectly! By wearing bright colors that aren’t neutral, it’ll take away from what you are selling! Unless your product is as well, but even then choosing neutral colors will help your vibrant products pop!
Just like colors of the clothes can distract your customer from products, so can patterns and logos! Simple subtle patterns are okay when using products with solid colors, but anything to noisy and vibrant will distract the customer from what is being sold! Logos should be avoided at all costs unless it’s your OWN logo on your clothes. You don’t want customers and clients to misinterpret who you are marketing for! Ultimately, the decision of what the models wear is personal to every brand, but staying neutral and avoiding logos and patterns is an excellent place to start!
